The Ring

So Kali comes home from school today and starts out by saying "Guess what Chas did today." (Chas is a little boy in her class who has a bit of a crush on her.) She reaches in her book bag and pulls out a small ring box - it's a (very fake) pearl ring! Apparently he told her a long time ago that he was going to give her pearls at the end of the year!

He first tried to give it to her before school started, but she wouldn't take it because you're not allowed to talk in the mornings (this is where the classes line up before the bell rings.)

So he then put it in her desk, but she gave it back to him because you're not allowed to have toys in your desk, or the teacher takes them away.

Finally Chas gives it to the teacher to please give to Kali so she won't get in trouble!
